The "door fee" or cover charge is $5 per day. If you play in a noon and evening tournament in the same day, you pay the cover charge only one time. We also have punch cards and monthly memberships available if you are going to be a frequent guest.
The dealers are volunteers, not employees of the club, and work strictly on tips. There is no set amount or requirement to tip the dealers, but they do appreciate being recognized for their time.
Blind structure and levels are different depending on the tournament in play. For information about a specific tournament's blind structure, contact Will at
portlandplayersclub@comcast.net As for payout, again, this is dependent on the tournament. Typically, the payout is the top 15%. So, if there are 40 players in the tourney, the top 6 would make it into the money. Winners are paid out in graduated amounts based on placement and 100% of the tournament buy-ins are paid back to the players. There is no tournament rake! We pay the bills with cover charges and by selling refreshments.
I hope this has answered all of your questions. If you need additional information, feel free to contact us again or better yet, stop by and check the place out for yourself!
